I dropped Action Comics a while ago, but I heard #9 was pretty good, so I picked that up, and I might start pulling it again. I’m debating whether or not to follow Batwing again too.

Big week, damn. I though Blue Estate #12, Rocketeer Adventures #3, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #10 were out this week, but… I guess not. Whoops.

Oh yeah, I also got “Soulwind: Book Three” by Scott Morse and “The Bunker” by Bruce Mutard for $3 each. Hooray. :D

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the badass free posters I was able to snatch up on Free Comic Book Day.

So I walk into Role of the Die, and their table of comics is pretty much empty. But I notice they have some posters laying around and fklerjghrekjghrkje.

The Saga poster man. *___* I’ve been wanting it since seeing it hanging up in Comic Book World before the release of the comic. Now it is mine. Unf.

Fatale has some of my favorite covers and art, so I was pretty excited to grab that too. I was shocked no one had already taken it.

And Thief of Thieves, because hey, why not.

Today, at one of my LCS, there was a huge sidewalk sale, where they had a bunch of CDs, movies, books, games, comics, etc. going for 25 cents and up. Pretty awesome. And inside the store, everything was 25% off. Even more awesome. I picked up:

-B.P.R.D. volume 5: The Black Flame

-Captain America: Winter Soldier (I always wanted to check out Brubaker’s run on Cappy, since I love Fatale and Winter Soldier by him so much right now)

-Some cute little buildable Marvel figures (Spider-Man, Hulk, and Captain America)

-“Catching the Big Fish” by David Lynch

I’ve gotten a haircut, visited an awesome Vietnamese bakery (but some dude stole my cake :c), attempted to sing “Bennie and the Jets” by Elton John in autotune for one of my friends, drove down to the Great Escape, bought awesome stuff, and saw a few people I never see too often. It’s been a cool day so far. Now I just want to chill in my room.

Ed Brubaker just started a new Captain America run too. It’s only 11 issues in and I’m tempted to start picking those up. I’m also interested in picking up Greg Rucka’s The Punisher, because I’ve heard great things, and I just love Rucka’s “Batwoman: Elegy.”

Oh yeah, Free Comic Book Day was last week too. I got pretty much all the free ones I wanted, but to the people who got the Atomic Robo and 2000 AD Judge Dredd Special… I am jealous. I could not find a copy of either anywhere. :c I was also disappointed the FCBD Adventure Time comic wasn’t actually a new story (like someone told me it would be), and just a snippet of the first issue. But oh well, it was free. No complaints.

I had to go to the Great Escape for Supurbia and Bulletproof Coffin. BC is on my pull list at Role of the Die, but they keep forgetting it since I think I’m the only one who gets it there. No big deal though. c: And I switched out my $45 deposit at Role of the Die for a card, so I got to use those $45 on my comics~ I still have $22.75 left. YESSSS. :D

A few days ago I got all eight issues of Blackhawks. I know it’s going to be cancelled soon, but I hear it gets pretty great, so I thought “why not check it out?” I found X-Force #121 and #129 too. Now my X-Force issue collection is complete! :D

RELEASE NEWS

Humanoids will be releasing a smaller hardcover version of The Eyes of the Cat in July. There’s no information on their site yet, so I’m not exactly sure on the price point, but I’m assuming it will be cheaper than their re-issue of Incal Classic Collection next month(which costs $45). Cuz ya know, it’s about 250 pages thinner.
